Roxsane was born and raised in the Greater Vancouver area. She attended UBC and became an elementary school teacher. She married, lived on Harrison Lake, in Sardis, Surrey and in Squamish raising three girls all actively engaged in the community. At present she lives in Burnaby. Roxsane studied Applied Art at Capilano College placing on the Dean's List. She has studied and produced weaving, fabric design and soft sculpture before learning the techniques of Chigiri-e' in Japan. She attends workshops locally and abroad whenever possible as her curiosity is boundless. A founding member of the Squamish Weaver's and Spinner's Guild she later returned to complete her B. Ed. at SFU, worked in Mexico as Program Director for the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, became an international educator teaching high school and marketing for the school district in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico. Wherever she travels she soaks up the local color, customs and cultural influences. These cross-cultural experiences blend with her lively imagination, her creativity and her love of the outdoors to provide an endless variety of subjects for her art work. Roxsane's work can be found in private and corporate collections locally, nationally and internationally.

Roxsane is currently showing at Inlet Wellness Gallery Gallery  on Clarke Street in Port Moody, and in Jeunesse Gallery of Fine Art on West 4th Avenue, in Vancouver . Roxsane will take part in the Burnaby Arts Council show Luminescense  opening March 25th from 7 to 10 pm  and coming down April 7th as well as being the featured artist in ART IN BLOOM the Burnaby Artists Guild  Spring{show and sale] which will be in Shadbolt Centre from April 3th from 7pm to 10 pm, April 4th from 10 am till 6 pm and on Sunday the 5th from 10 am to 5pm. Roxsane will be in 2020 ABSTRACTED  at the FCA Gallery on Granville Island from March 3rd to 15th. Roxsane also has work at the Surrey Arts Council Rental in The SAGA Shop in Bear Creek Park and in the North Vancouver Art Rental at Cityspace on Lonsdale in North Vancouver.And in the IMAGINE show at the Longhouse 1710 in Tswassen, BC from March 1st to 30th, 2020.

Instruction in Chigiri-e, watercolour, acrylics or collage is available on request for adults or students. lessons for groups of 4 cost $15 per hour per student- -most supplies provided. Private lessons are $30 per hour.
